Description
Torture of foreign workers is not imaginary; unfortunately there are many cases where they are abused, wrongly accused of a crime or not being paid. Apart from that, there are still serious human and labor rights violations in Singapore.
HOME (Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics) helps these foreign workers and responds to the special needs of migrant communities. They offer shelter and provide legal and psychological assistance when necessary. Furthermore they help foreign workers to survive the abuse by teaching them a new skill and/or repatriating them.
The man and women that find shelter at HOME, are encouraged to learn (better) English. Although these English courses are usually given by volunteers, the materials they need are not for free.
