In March, a team of seven Communications and New Media students from the National University of Singapore collaborated with NCA to raise awareness for the five lesser known charities that NCA has been working with.
The campaign, titled #BridgeShareCare, was an attempt to bridge the gap between people from different walks of lives, share the love and care for the less privileged in Singapore. The students attended the NCA’s events, where they interacted with folks from the SILRA Home, and celebrated International Women’s Day with foreign domestic workers from H.O.M.E.
The team of seven students also took over the NCA’s Facebook page in March, taking the initiative to interview persons-in-charge of the five different charities as well as the board members of NCA, to create interesting and refreshing online content.
In a short period of one month, they managed to organize a Fundraiser at Tampines Mall, and successfully raised almost $1,800 in donations. Through interaction with the public, they increased public awareness of NCA as a Voluntary Welfare Organization.
